The likes of Joey Barton don’t belong abroad, they belong out of the game. I do agree with you about Jermaine Pennant and Michael Owen though, they have became stale and need a new challenge.

Well, to be globally competitive, these players should also try playing abroad. They should also try their best in playing to some top caliber football leagues outside England. This will surely be one of the best football scenes to watch.

Lampard shud defo go, he has to much to offer to waste at chelsea. he would fit right in at real madrid. he cant play out the remainder of his carrer playing such boring football

Owen needs to take any decent opportunity he can get. He’s not getting any younger (almost into his thirties) and I don’t think he wants to retire saying ‘I could have done this’ or ‘I could have done that’.

I’d love to see any English player move abroad. Makes us look really poor that so many players stay home.
