Preview:

In their opening Champions League match Arsenal needed a last gasp equalising goal to salvage a point in Dynamo Kiev.

Captain William Gallas was the hero when he poked in from point-blank range at the far post after a low cross from Theo Walcott.

Before the equalising goal was scored Arsenal were guilty of missing chances, which they must learn not to do on the big occasions.

The goal cancelled out a harsh penalty for Kiev when Bacary Sagna was punished for bringing down Ognjen Vukojevic and Ismael Bangoura slotted in.

In team news for Arsenal, midfielder Samir Nasri, who has been out of action since August with a knee injury has returned to the squad.
However Alex Song has picked up a hIp injury, ruling him out for the game, but defender Mikael Silvestre is being tipped to start as manager Arsene Wenger has said changes to the side will be made.

In their opening Champions League group match FC Porto were impressive collecting a 3-1 victory at home against Fenerbahce. The goals were scored by Lopez, Gonzalez and Lino.

Since Porto, under the guidance of Jose Mourinho lifted the trophy, they have by all accounts struggled in this competition. Coach Jesualdo Ferreira, who has led his side to two consecutive domestic league titles can only call upon one member of the side who won the trophy in 2004 - that being Pedro Emanuel.

Porto are led in attack by the Argetinian dueo Lucho Gonzalez and Lisandro Lopez, and boast a large South American contingent, with new fewer than seven Argentinians in the squad!
