Chelsea play the game following their shock FA Cup exit to Barnsley on Saturday, with the pressure mounting on manager Avrim Grant.

During the build up to the game, Avram Grant has admitted the pressure is building on him, when telling the press “When I’m responsible for the team, and my team loses at Barnsley, there will be many negative things said about it.”

Chelsea despite the apparent problems are only eight points behind Premier League leaders Arsenal with two games in hand. If they win both those games, they will be just two points behind Arsene Wengers men and the title race will be wide open once again.

After being left out of the cup match, Didier Drogba and Frank Lampard are expected to be recalled to the side. Nicolas Anelka could either find himself back amongst the substitutes, or occupying a more wide position in attack.

In their last match Derby managed to earn a point in a goaless draw at Pride Park against a frustrated Sunderland side.

Derby counted themselves lucky after a contentious offside decision ruled out Michael Chopra’s seemingly legitimate goal for Sunderland.

Andy Reid crossed low from the left for Chopra to sidefoot past Derby keeper Roy Carroll on 38 minutes but referee Mike Riley disallowed his effort.

It’s been fourteen games since manager Paul Jewell took charge at the Derby County helm, but so far they are yet to record a Premier League victory.

Paul Jewell is likely to keep a similar side to the one that played the last match, meaning starts for Mile Sterjovski, Eddie Lewis, Marc Edworthy and Emanuel Villa.
