Chelsea were held by Olympiakos after an unconvincing display in the first leg of their Champions League tie on a cold night in Greece.

Without Terry and Lampard (who were left on the bench), Chelsea strolled through the game without ever getting out of first gear. Their best chances came from Ricardo Carvalho and Salomon Kalou, but neither could find the net.

Chelsea are likely to field a team similar to the one that thrashed West Ham on Saturday, but many expect Drogba, who was an un-used substitute to start the match, with Anelka likely to take a place on the wing in place of Kalou.

Olympiakos’s main threat to the Chelsea goal is likely to come from Predrag Djordjevic and Darko Kovacevic. Premier League fans may remember Kovacevic from his short spell at Sheffield Wednesday in 1996, where he scored four goals in sixteen appearances. He has since played for Real Socidead, Juventus and Lazio.

With Chelsea’s formidable home record, they will be favourites to reach the semi-finals for the fourth time in five seasons.

Olympiakos though are no fools and have a largley experienced side, with the average age of the team that starts the match likely to be around 30. They have also won 10 league titles in 11 years!
