In team news for Everton, Leon Osman is expected to return from a hip injury, while Mikel Arteta is likely to be back in contention following stomach and groin injuries.

Last Sunday Aston Villa destroyed their bitter rivals Birmingham City 5-1 with both Ashley Young and John Carew scoring twice. Gabriel Agbonlahor scored the fith goal for Villa with just twelve minutes left to play.

In team news for Aston Villa, Gabriel Agbonlahor is thought to be suffering from a cold, but is expected to play the game. Craig Gardner is ruled out with a thigh injury.

In the reverse fixture earlier this season, Aston Villa recorded a 2-0 victory with goals from Carew and Agbonlahor.
