Fenerbahce face Chelsea in the quarter final stage of this years Champions League competition

Fenerbahce surprised many to reach this stage of the competition having been expected to fall at the second round hurdle. That hurdle came in the shape of the much fancied Sevilla.
However after drawing 5-5 on agreggate after extra time in the second leg, Fenerbache won the tie 3-2 on penalties after Vederson,Aurelio and Kezman scored their spot kicks.

Gokhan Gonul is suspended for Fenerbache, but there should be a place in the side for striker Mateja Kezman, who once cost Chelsea five million pounds in a transfer fee, but failed to live up to expectations.

Chelsea arrived at this stage of the competition after easing past Greek side Olympiacos in the second round.
After earning a hard fought 0-0 draw in Greece, Chelsea were able to over power their opposition in the second leg. Michael Ballack gave Chelsea the lead with just five minutes gone, before Frank Lampard and Salomon Kalou added to the scoreline.
On a different night the score could have been much higher but Chelsea found the Olympiacos goalkeeper Antonios Nikopolidis in fine form.

Chelsea are expected to play Frank Lampard in midfield, if he does play, it will be his fifteeth appearance in the Champions League competition.
