The build up to the game hasn’t been ideal for Manchester City with manager Mark Hughes confirming that striker Darius Vassell has been ruled out for up to 10 weeks with a knee injury.
Darious Vassell is not the only striker on Man City’s books that is unavailable for selection with Jo, Benjani Mwaruwari and Valeri Bojinov all out of contention for different reasons.
This means that Manchester City could give an opportunity to two teenagers strikers, being Daniel Sturridge and Ched Evans, who has impressed many during his international appearances for Wales. Ecuadorian teenager Felipe Caicedo may also be in contention to play some part in the game.
Vedran Corluka, who has been linked with a transfer away from the club is available, as is Bulgarian winger Martin Petrov after the pair missed the friendly against AC Milan.

FC Midtjylland are a Danish football team from Herning and Ikast.

FC Midtjylland have a few players that British football fans may be familiar with and that could cause a few problems for the home side.
One of those is striker Kim Christensen, who had a spell at Barnsley in 2007. Also look out for Babajide “Baba” Collins Babatunde, who is being tipped to have a bright future in football.

The club doesn’t have a particularly glittering history in European competition, with their best being in the 2002/2003 season, where the team reached the 2nd qualifying round of the UEFA cup, but lost to RSC Anderlecht of Belgium
