For years many have said that the English premier league is the best league in the world, and at last the final of the Champions League is an all Premiership affair.

Manchester United reached the Champions League final after beating Barcelona in the semi finals. After a 0-0 draw in Barcelona, a single stunning goal by Paul Scholes in the return leg was enough to secure a victory.

In team news for Manchester United, Nani is expected to be recalled to the squad after being suspended for the final league game of the season.
Ryan Giggs is expected to start the game amongst the substitutes, meaning that Ji-Sung Park, who has started most of the big games towards the end of the season, is likely to continue to do so.
Paul Scholes, who missed the 1999 Champions Legue final will start the match.

Chelsea had to overcome the much fancied Liverpool in the semi final. In the first leg Chelsea were loosing 1-0 until an own goal deep into stoppage time leveled the game at 1-1.
The second leg would finish 1-1 after 90 minutes, but goals in extra time by Lampard from the penalty spot and by Drogba were enough to secure the victory.

In team news for Chelsea, defenders Ricardo Carvalho and John Terry are both expected to start the game, as it striker Didier Drogba. Ashley Cole is expected to start the game at left back, while Michael Essien, who usually operates in midfield, is being tipped to continue to play at right back.
