On Wednesday Tottenham were involved in one of the most entertaining games of the league season, a 4-4 draw against Chelsea.

In that game Tottenham found themselves 3-1 down and with goals from Berbatov and Huddlestone, they drew level with fifteen minutes to go. Tottenham again found themselves behind, but there was another twist after 88 minutes when a long clearance hit Ricardo Carvalho on the back and Keane reacted quickly to curl a 20-yard shot past Cudicini.

Despite their impressive come back Tottenham appear to be stranded in the middle of the league table and are in eleventh place with thirty six points. They are seven points behind West Ham in tenth place and fourteen points behind sixth placed Portmsouth with just eight games remaining.

If Tottenham are to qualify for the Uefa Cup next season, they are going to win most of their remaining matches.

Last Weekend a delightful Jermain Defoe lob and a bizarre Nigel Reo-Coker own goal saw Portsmouth leapfrog Aston Villa in the Premier League table.

That victory was their second in a row following a 4-2 victory over Villa’s rivals Birmingham City.

Portsmouth now have fifty points this season and are ahead of the likes of Aston Villa, Man City and Blackburn. It’s been a great season so far but manager Harry Redknapp won’t want his side to ease off.

In team news for Portsmouth, they will be without Muntari after he was sent off against Aston Villa for a second bookable offence.
