Premier League side Tottenham face Duth side PSV Eindhoven in the last sixteen of the Uefa Cup.

In the last round Tottenham survived a late Slavia Prague rally to secure their place in the Uefa Cup’s last 16.

Spurs added to their 2-1 first leg lead against Slavia when Jamie O’Hara fired in a deflected shot off Martin Latka. Matej Krajcik slotted in to give Slavia a lifeline and then Tottenham had to show resolute defending to see the game out to the final whistle.

Tottenham are yet to really hit their best run of form in this competition yet and have struggled at times at home. In the group stages they found themselves 2-0 down at half time to Aalborg, but goals Berbatov, Malbranque and Bent turned the game around with a final score of 3-2.

PSV arrive at this stage of the competition after beating Helsingborgs IF 4-1 aggregate. In the second leg, 2nd half goals by Zonneveld and Lazovic ensured a two-one victory.

On Sunday PSV were thumped 3-1 away at FC Utrecht after a Simons penalty put them infront after twenty eight minutes.

Despite that defeat, PSV are still top of the Dutch Eredivisie having collected fifty nine points from twenty seven games. They are six points in front of second place Ajax and nine points ahead of NAC.
