There is no question over what is the main event in this pay per view offering with UFC heavyweight champion Randy Couture putting his title on the line against former WWE superstar Brock Lesnar.
Brock Lesnar made his UFC debut against Frank Mir at UFC 81, but after a great start to the bout, Mir was able to trap him in a knee bar and forced him to submit.
His next bout would come at UFC 87, where he would beat Heath Herring by unanimous decision, where he managed to ground his opponent throughout most of the contest.
Randy Couture’s Professional Mixed Martial Arts record is impressive, reading 16 wins, seven of which by knockout in 24 bouts. He has lost eight times, being knocked out and forced to submit four times each.
This will be his first fight since returning to active competition for UFC in September. Before his leave, he beat the Brazilian Gabriel Gonzaga by TKO.
Also on the card:
There are two all American bouts, Dustin Hazelett faces Tamdan McCrory in a Welterweight contest, while Kenny Florian faces Joe Stevenson in a Lightweight bout.
In middleweight action, the Brazilian Demian Maia faces Nate Quarry. While in a Heavyweight bout Gabriel Gonzaga faces Josh Hendricks.
