Write For Us
Are you a hungry, opinionated soccer writer looking for a platform to be heard?
Are you an up-and-coming writer desperate to build a portfolio of work but would also like to get paid for your efforts?
Daily Soccer Blog is always on the lookout for talented soccer writers to produce feature articles, opinion pieces and to live blog on televised matches.
Unlike a lot of blogs, we are serious about attracting the best up-and-coming talent which is why we are prepared to pay you for great work – the type of content which gets people talking and other blogs wishing they had come up with it first.
As long as your writing meets certain standards, i.e. English is your first language, you can construct readable paragraphs and know how to run a spelling and grammar check, you are free to contribute whatever you want to Daily Soccer Blog and if it’s good, we’ll pay you for it.
Please note, we do not pay for all content. If you also want to produce wishy-washy “result round up” or “transfer rumour” articles similar to those by hobby writers at the Bleacher Report, in order to boost the article count in your writing portfolio, then that’s welcome too, but will be unpaid.
If you want to write for Daily Soccer Blog, then:
1. Get in touch via the Contact Form and include links to articles you have previously written and have had published elsewhere, e.g. on your own blog, forums etc. Please also include a few article ideasĀ and proposals which you would like featured on Daily Soccer Blog.
2. We will contact you as soon as possible, usually within 24 hours and let you know whether we believe you are the right calibre of writer for us or not. If you are accepted, you will be able to start producing content for us straight away. If you are not accepted, then don’t give up. It just means you are not right for us at the moment so please get more practice and contact us again in a couple of months or so.
3. Both accepted writers and would-be writers should also read the Daily Soccer Blog Writer’s Guidelines which will answer a number of questions on what to write about and how to format your articles properly so they will be accepted for publication.
