Smackdown:

This pay per view is strongly lead by feuds from the Smackdown! brand, which in the past had always been considered to be the second brand. Since the draft lottery two months ago though, the brand is really gaining viewers.

Edge V The Undertaker
The main feud from Smackdown is of course Edge V The Undertaker, who have faced each other four times on pay per view already this year. After being reinstated by general manager Vickie Guerrero, The Undertaker will face Edge in a Hell In A Cell Match.

Triple H V The Great Khali
With Triple H without a number one contender and opponent for the pay per view, the July 25th episode of Smackdown staged a battle royale, with the winner earning a title shot. The Great Khali won the match and could pose a serious threat to “The Game”.

Jeff Hardy vs. Montel Vontavious Porter
This feud has been building for the past few weeks with MVP doing all he can to stop Jeff Hardy from beating Shelton Benjamin to win The United States Championship - costing him the match on two occasions. Jeff Hardy will finally get a chance to face MVP at Summerslam in a one on one match.

Raw:
John Cena vs. Batista
Raw’s main feud sees John Cena and Batista face each other one on one in the first time in WWE history. The feud began when new general manager Mike Adamle revealed the pair would face each other. They have since won and lost the tag team titles and seen their dislike for each other rise.

CM Punk vs. John “Bradshaw” Layfield
In a match for the World Heavyweight Championship, CM Punk faces JBL. JBL became the number one contender when he pinned Punk in a two on 1 handicap match which also featured JBL’s tag team partner, Chris Jericho.

Kofi Kingston and Mickie James vs. Santino Marella and Beth Phoenix
The four wrestlers face each other in an Intergender tag team match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship and WWE Women’s Championship. Meaning that the winning team takes both titles!

ECW:
Mark Henry vs. Matt Hardy
The only offering from ECW sees Mark Henry looking to defend the ECW Championship against Matt Hardy. Matt Hardy became the number one contender on the July 22 edition of ECW, after winning a Fatal Four-Way match against Finlay, The Miz and John Morrison.
